      About the Author: Elizabeth Wise

      Elizabeth completed her RYT 200 at Prana Yoga Center in 2016, completed her trauma informed yoga training with the Connection Coalition in 2017, and her RCYT with Yoga Ed in 2018. Elizabeth is also a licensed clinical social worker and certified Trauma Conscious Yoga Method (TCYM) teacher. She is also certified in prenatal yoga and has taken training in yin yoga. She works with the Crim Fitness Foundation Mindfulness Initiative in Flint, MI working to foster mindful awareness, meditation, and yoga throughout the community to help eliminate the effects of toxic stress and cultivate wellness and resilience. Elizabeth also enjoys teaching yoga at Prana Yoga Center where her classes focus on meditation, breath work, and creative flows. “Life is interesting, revealing, and awe-provoking when we show up for it wholeheartedly and pay attention.” – Jon Kabat-Zinn
