Anna Balsamo, MA, LPCC | Tewa Roots Society
Anna grew up in Maine and received her Bachelors degree in Expressive Arts Therapy from Burlington College in 2014. She moved to Sante Fe to pursue her Masters, and fell in love with New Mexico.
She earned her masters in Art Therapy/Counseling from Southwestern College, and went on to work as a therapist and counselor in Colorado and New Mexico. She has worked in hospitals, schools, and for mental health agencies before joining the team at Tewa Roots Society.
Anna is a certified yoga teacher and utilizes mindfulness skills, art, and writing in her work with clients. She specializes in working with teens and families, as well as LGBTQIA2S+ individuals. She believes in our incredible capacity for resiliency and works to empower clients to find their way back to their own inner strength.
Anna is honored to be working with the indigenous populations of northern New Mexico and as clinical supervisor, she aims to facilitate a supportive atmosphere for both clients and clinicians at Tewa Roots Society.
In her spare time, she is a company member of Tri-M productions, a musical theater company in Santa Fe.
