Elizabeth Sumpf, LCSW, RYT-200, EMDR, TCYM Peaceful Prana Therapy, LLC
I’ve learned personally and professionally that when life seems too much to handle and it feels like it can’t get any worse, can also be the time we’re lead toward a period of exploration and self-growth. The darkness leads us to seek out the light; to open up to a new way of thinking and to explore new ways of being in this world.
My passion is to help individuals feel secure in their darkness and their light; to slow down so that they gain self awareness and learn to trust themselves.
Together, we create space for you to laugh and cry at the same time because humor heals and tears cleanse.
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Registered Yoga Instructor and Reiki Practitioner but also known as a lover of self-compassion, believer in the power of connection and a non-judgmental ear that wants to hear your story.
I believe we all need a safe space to go when life feels too hard. I believe that the answers are already inside of you- sometimes you just need help to uncover them.
Peaceful Prana was created out of the beautiful Sanskrit word, Prana, which has various interpretations in English such as “life force energy”, “vital energy” and “air or breath of life” or “primary energy”.
Prana is the life force that’s present in everything around us.
From Sanskrit, pra meaning to “bring forth” or “forward” and an, meaning “to breathe” or “movement” so it’s translated to “breathing forth” or “moving forth” as it relates to the idea that our energy is dynamic. You can imagine the constant ebb and flow of your breath, there’s a continuous flow and movement.
Prana is the energy that powers your system so when it moves, when you bring forth this energy, then you can be in flow with life.
Social justice is a part of the exploration as I'm on my own imperfect journey related to anti-racism work. I'm identify and align with LBGTQIA+, HAES, women's reproductive rights and environmental rights.
