Ellen Vallejo Smith, M.Ed., LPC
I am native to the Victoria area, growing up in Edna. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master of Education in School Counseling and a Certificate in Therapy and Development from Lamar University. Prior to my work in the therapy field, I worked as an elementary school teacher in Victoria. My clinical work is dedicated to helping survivors of trauma heal from their past and provide them with the tools to create a happy and healthy future.
I have experience providing trauma focused treatment to children and adolescents along with their families within the child advocacy center setting since 2017. I am nationally certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and trained in EMDR.
Outside of session, my ideal days are spent in the backyard, spending time with my family, and watching movies. I am a lifelong learner and enjoy seeking out new professional development opportunities. I am passionate about educating others about mental health and trauma.
