Sandy Price, LMFT-S
In a blink of an eye, you're now a parent of a tween/teen(s). Your child has become w/drawn, negative, loss of interest & enjoyment of activities they once enjoyed. There's a change in their sleep, eating habits, doing poorly in school, isolating from friends and family, showing risky or harmful behaviors, even possible suicide thoughts. Your child shares with you that they feel depressed, anxious and don’t want to go to school. You try asking them what’s wrong, just to be yelled, “nothing, you wouldn’t even understand. You turn to your partner for support just to find yourself feeling angry, emotionally overwhelmed, invalidated.
I am a bilingual Licensed Child and Family Therapist that’s been there, done that! I am here to help you avoid the reoccurring mistakes and mishaps and help you find the connection with either your teen and/or spouse so that you can continue running your home in a healthier and happy manner.
I collaboratively work with each client to meet their specific needs through a systemic lens. I understand that your experiences may be difficult to acknowledge or talk about because of the shame, guilt and stigma that may often surround traumatic events like: dysfunctional family dynamics, domestic violence, neglect, emotional, sexual and physical abuse.
