Hi!
I'm Shannon, a licensed professional counselor and certified yoga teacher. I graduated from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga with a Master's in Education and Clinical Mental Health Counseling. In my time as a counselor, I have worked in many different facilities, and with many different populations, but the common thread amongst them all is trauma. Trauma is pervasive in our society, and I have trained in CBT, DBT, and ACT to better understand trauma and how to work with it in therapy. As a former massage therapist, I see how trauma affects the body, and this, coupled with my long-time personal practice, empowered me to become a certified yoga teacher, and TCYM.
