Swiyah Whittington, LACMH
My name is Swiyah Whittington, and I serve adults, children, and families as a psychotherapist using an integrative approach that includes a combination of somatic practices. This interactive approach supports clients’ sense of self-worth, self-esteem, and self-confidence.
I am here to assist clients in navigating the challenges that life has brought them, from childhood trauma to just managing day-to-day concerns. I work with clients seeking improvement in their lives. As a therapist, I support each client on their journey to healing. I meet each client where they are and support them in setting goals towards where they would like to be. The initial session begins with an assessment to identify where they are and their needs. In collaboration with this information and our work together, we develop goals to get the client there. I work with adults, children, and families wanting to improve.
It’s my belief that no one can empower you like yourself. I feel that we have strengths that can be utilized in various situations to improve our well-being. I provide a pleasant and positive experience. This, in combination with my past experiences as a teacher, program coordinator, group home staff, and RBT influences my passion to support clients
