Taimour Ahmed, Mental Health Consultant and Facilitator
Hi there,
my name is Taimour (pronunciation: ‘Taimoor’) (pronouns: he/him) and I am a facilitator and project manager, who specialises in curriculum development and delivery for social change projects. In addition, I also serve as a researcher and lived experience consultant/advisor for various research and delivery projects.
A lived experience advocate, I specialise in subjects that explore mental health at the intersection of key identity markers such as class, race & gender identity.
My work in mental health is rooted in using a community-based approach through mediums such as peer support.
Alongside my stand-alone projects in partnership with organisations such as Taraki and Spark & Co, I am also the founder of Expert By Experience. Expert By Experience is a community-led organisation that looks at mental health in South Asian communities.
In addition, I am also one of the founder members of Spark Insights. Spark Insights is a research, training and coaching collective for organisations that take anti-racism and inclusion seriously.
