Noori Tawakol | AMFT #156270
Description
My approach is warm, patient, and straightforward. I work to help you connect to your intuition and inner wisdom so you can live a life that honors your values, legacy, and community. I am bilingual (Arabic and English), and enjoy working with clients who hold complex identities, such as children of immigrants, transracial adoptees, and LGBTQ+ people of faith. Together, we can explore the strengths and challenges of navigating marginalized identities and ways to move forward authentically.
By integrating the mind, body, and spirit into therapy, I take a holistic approach to honor and recognize all the parts of you. I am Level 2 certified in the Trauma Conscious Yoga Method and enjoy taking a somatic approach to therapy and incorporating yoga. I also lead yoga-based support groups for trauma survivors.
In our work together, we can explore all factors impacting your mental health, from political realities, injustice, to family dynamics, friendships, and intergenerational patterns. I am wholeheartedly dedicated to making space to explore your strengths, resilience, and gifts from your culture and family of origin.
