CE’s? YES. We are registered as a CE provider with ASWB. We offer CE’s for licensed social workers, professional counselors, marriage and family therapists, and psychologists. You will get 30 CE’s, 3 of which go toward ethics. Despite this, we do invite you to do your due diligence and reach out to your licensing board just to be sure. We have never had a clinician be denied their CE’s, but again, we recommend you reach out to your board to be safe. YES, we DO also offer CE’s via Yoga Alliance – 30 CE’s.

Yes, and you can upload your certificate of completion to the YA website.

Join us! Many people appreciate coming to TCYM first and then they decide whether they want to complete a 200-hour YTT or not. There is actually an advantage to attending TCYM first and grounding yourself in somatic therapy and trauma-conscious wisdom before going to a general 200-hour yoga program.

It’s self-paced and four modules long. Some people take a week off work and complete it in a week. Others do a module a month. Most people complete the course within four-eight months, moving at a leisurely pace, but you can take as long as you need. Some people take more than a year. You get lifetime access and ongoing support from our team.

Forever! You will have lifetime access to the training!

Yes, you will be able to run TCYM groups which integrate somatics and yoga. You are certified as a TCYM Practitioner after the training. Just as you must go through a specific education to call yourself a “social worker” or “professional counselor,” in the West, the term “yoga teacher” is reserved for those who have completed a 200-hour YTT. It’s political. We will discuss this in training. But yes, again, you will be able to run yoga groups.

It depends on the yoga teacher training. It’s possible, but you need to check with the specific 200-hour program you intend on participating in to confirm (it is up to them). This training and all trauma-conscious yoga trainings are considered electives or specializations by Yoga Alliance. Most 200-hour yoga teacher trainings have a set curriculum that they abide by to meet Yoga Alliance’s standards for 200-hour certification. Trauma-informed yoga is not a part of Yoga Alliance’s 200-hour standard, however some 200-hour YTT’s will allow this training to count toward their completion.
