TCYM and Working with the Fawn Response
Objectives:
Explore different frameworks to better understand fawn response as a survival strategy including:

Trauma informed and attachment focused: both developmental/interpersonal, and systemic

Evolutionary
-
Neurobiology/Nervous System
-
Compassionate and Strengths based
Recognize when our clients may be operating from a fawn response and the cost of overutilizing the fawn response
Gain clinical tools to support our clients in softening their need to utilize the fawn response through TCYM and other somatic strategies
This will be an interactive space and will include discussion, case conceptualization, and practical strategies. Participants will receive 1.5 CEU credits for mental health professionals and through Yoga Alliance.
This workshop is geared towards clinicians, but if you are a yoga teacher who might be interested in creating a special series or classes focused on addressing fawning, you are welcome and encouraged to join!
