The Trauma-Conscious Yoga Method℠ is a healing modality that integrates trauma-informed yoga and somatic psychotherapy practices. This training is for mental health professionals, yoga teachers, coaches, bodyworkers, educators, and / or anyone wanting to deepen their understanding of and ability to work with trauma using yoga as a healing modality. Six months of previous yoga practice is recommended, but not required. You do not need to be a yoga teacher to attend this training.
There are a growing number of trauma-informed yoga trainings out there. Please watch this video to hear Nityda explain the methodology behind TCYM as well as what sets it apart from other trainings.
This yoga training takes an anti-oppression lens and centers the process of decolonizing yoga practice and teaching, while increasing social equity in yoga.
