I am of indigenous Mexica ancestry (Purepecha, Chichimeca) and have worked with hundreds of youth and adults for the last 20 years as a social worker to empower folks so that they can become agents of change in their lives and for their communities. My framework is a decolonized lens to therapy with a social justice mindset. I have a trauma informed approach that recognizes that wellness involves psychological, emotional, physical, and spiritual wellness. I also incorporate somatic practices as a registered yoga teacher into my practice.
