Atsede Scarseth, LPC, NCC, CIGT, CYT-200, TCYM | Unearthing Choice Counseling
Description
I feel that everyone deserves the chance to function as their own advocate and my role is to help facilitate that opportunity with an individualized approach. I assist individuals and couples in reconnecting with themselves in meaningful and sustainable ways. I approach therapeutic work from a humanistic orientation that integrates multiple counseling theories and modalities.
Humor and free expression are also very important components of the work that I do. Sessions can feel like emotional heavy lifting at times and having the opportunity to laugh and joke can help bring balance. Similarly, processing and healing can happen through movement, art, music, and other creative ventures.
My neurodivergence, various life experiences, and unique worldview allow me to meet people where they are authentically. I enjoy the creative arts, nature, and movement as a way of living a truly embodied life. Each one holds a significant place in my life and informs how I interact and connect with those around me.
