Cara Kantrowitz, RYT, TIYT
Description
Cara has been practicing yoga regularly since 2007. Cara has a dance background so the physical practice was a natural offshoot to keep up with flexibility, balance and strength, but Cara has gotten so much more out of the practice in learning about the philosophy, texts and other limbs of yoga and hopes to share that love and enthusiasm with her students. In May 2018 Cara completed a 200 hour teacher training with Jaya Yoga Center, a Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga School. In addition, Cara had the opportunity to complete 80 additional hours of training in pranayama (breathwork), yin yoga, restorative yoga and hands-on assists with Jaya Yoga Center as well as Prema Yoga. Cara has also completed a pre-natal yoga teacher training with Liz Walker in December 2019. Most recently, Cara became level 1 certified in the Trauma Conscious Yoga Method led by Nityda Gessel in October 2023.
Cara has first and second degree Reiki certification. Reiki translates as spirit energy and is a light hands-on technique as developed by Dr. Mikao Usui. The energy generated in the process of a session can harmonize the recipient physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Cara loves to enrich the experience of restorative yoga with hands on Reiki offerings.
