Jennifer Rivera-Enriquez Psychotherapy LLC
Description
For as long as I can remember, I’ve been passionate about equity and social justice. This led me into an early career of working in non-profits and educational advocacy. I had every intention of getting a teaching certification and stepping into the classroom; but my journey shifted and I followed. This passion still very much informs my work as a therapist/healer/helper and is often shared by the folx I have the honor of working with.
In my own personal healing journey, I’ve spent a great deal of time exploring and unraveling the many nuances of my identity as a multiethnic Latina/Xicana. I can relate to the ways that the intersectionality of multiple identities can sometimes show up as anxiety, imposter syndrome, doubt, insecurity and not-enoughness (that can be a word!)...the list goes on and on. I am grateful for the humanness of this experience and the healing that can come from exploring it in compassionate partnership with a healer. Ultimately, one can (and we have the right) to feel pride and loving power in all of our identities.
As a therapist, I lean into my own stories and healing spaces to meet you in yours. Sometimes that looks like listening or validating and other times I may offer movement, breath work or a grounding/guided meditation – all with the intention of strengthening your alignment to your most authentic, loving self.
While I do not offer therapy in Spanish, I do speak it and it is often woven into my work with native speakers. Please know, it is welcome and encouraged.
My hope is you will land in this space and be met with compassion and ease.
