As a compassionate and dedicated holistic psychotherapist, certified rehabilitation counselor, and trauma-informed yoga facilitator, I am deeply committed to empowering individuals on their journey toward holistic well-being and recovery. My mission is to provide comprehensive mental health support, rehabilitation services, vocational assessments, and trauma-informed yoga therapy to clients, fostering healing, resilience, and personal growth.
In my current role as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor at the Department of Veterans Affairs in Houston, TX, I work with veterans in the Veterans Readiness and Employment program. I assist them in achieving their employment goals and reintegrating into the workforce, drawing on my expertise in counseling and rehabilitation.
Previously, I served as a Rehabilitation Counselor Coordinator at the Department of Veterans Affairs in Houston, overseeing the Mental Health Residential Rehabilitation Therapy Program Domiciliary (MH RRTP Dom). In this role, I ensured the delivery of comprehensive rehabilitation services to veterans with mental health needs, providing them with the support they need to thrive.
Prior to my time in Houston, I worked as a Rehabilitation Counselor at the Department of Veterans Affairs in San Diego, CA. In this position, I managed community-based employment programs and provided supervision to interns, helping to shape the next generation of rehabilitation counseling professionals.
Outside of my work with the Department of Veterans Affairs, I am currently accumulating supervision hours at Restored Haven Counseling in Sugar Land, TX. Under the guidance of Dr. Kandys McKinley Foster, I am contributing to a Juvenile Sex Offender Treatment Program, playing an integral role in the rehabilitation and transformation of young individuals.
In addition to my professional experience, I hold various licensures and certifications, including being a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate, Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, and Certified Trauma Yoga Practitioner. I am also actively involved in professional organizations such as the American Counseling Association and the National Alliance on Mental Illness.
Overall, I am passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of individuals, and I am dedicated to utilizing my skills and experiences to contribute to their well-being and recovery journey.
